The community of Sweet Home is thriving. The informed community members are supportive of SHEDG's activities and goals. SHEDG is providing leadership, assisting home and small business and creating family wage jobs.  Within the last five years, the self-sufficient group has evolved to excellence. The Board functions smoothly with internal harmony and narrowly focuses on projects.  As leader, the Board collaborates with other organizations.  SHEDG is in the final stages of purchasing property.

SHEDG's office is very visible to the community and travelers.  The paid staff consists of three, an economic development director, an administrative assistant and secretary.   Many volunteers work for SHEDG and more people are available to fill any vacant spots.
