What is the Sweet Home Community Foundation?
A tax exempt public benefit foundation organized to create a self-perpetuating fund that will help make Sweet Home a self-sufficient, economically prosperous community.
Who will benefit from the Foundation?
Primarily the citizens and businesses of the Sweet Home Community generally defined as within the boundaries of the Sweet Home School District. When fully established, the Foundation will provide funding to a wide variety of projects and activities that provide lasting improvement to the community.

All monetary contributions are tax deductible under IRS 501(c)3 and receive the fullest tax deduction allowed by law. SHCF's internal controls assure your gift is well managed and meets your wishes.
What happens after I make a donation?
Internal controls within the foundation assure your gift is well managed and meets your wishes. Controls include, but are not limited to:
Gift Policy - Standards for acceptance of a gift to the foundation to assure compliance with IRS regulations and the SHCF's mission.
Project Matrix - A formal review of all project proposals for compliance with the SHCF's mission
Donor Advised Fund - A formal agreement to assure wishes of the donor and SHCF are met.
SHCF Grant Application - An application form used to access money in restricted or general funds.
How are funds dispersed?
An application form for your project proposal is available upon request. A formal review by the Board of Directors, to ensure the project is in compliance with the Foundation's mission, is completed for each proposal before a decision to fund is made. There is an annual grant cycle in early winter. Watch this site for more information.
